I am sure that, in reading this report, you will appreciate the dedication and hard work that has been contributed by the whole Team under the dynamic and inspiring leadership of Helen Massey-Roche. This has resulted in the achievement of many new milestones for ADAS. There have been numerous diverse areas which have had to be addressed. However, the unflinching determination not to be side-tracked from the original aspirations has resulted in major steps forward on all fronts. There have been some frustrating moments in nearly every aspect, but the benefits of continuing to face these challenges in a totally frank and open way has succeeded in overcoming them. There is no doubt that fresh obstacles will appear in the coming year as the team continue to develop the Programmes provided for Clients, which in themselves have gained great respect. Also the Out-Reach Services will continue to move into areas which to date have only been serviced by other less demanding Programmes. The resistance that has been met to date will not go away easily. However the way in which the Team has approached such obstacles in the last twelve months gives very great comfort that these challenges will continue to be overcome. The progress covered by this Report is undoubtedly dynamic and I can only hope that its contents portray them adequately. On behalf of the Trustees and even more so, on behalf of our clients to date, I would like to use this opportunity to thank my colleagues on the Management Committee, our Advisors and all the Staff and Volunteers for their dedication and their achievements through this last year.
