Alcohol and Drug Abstinence Service - Breaking the chain of addiction.

AGE RANGES

The highest proportion of clients are between 25 and 35 years of age.

GENDER DIVISON

We have approximately two-thirds male to one-third female.

Looking back at last year's statistics this ratio has seemed to remain throughout. Again, the reason being is that women are afraid to present themselves for fear of losing their children into care. Steps have been taken to overcome this fear. ADAS have set up a Women and Child Outreach project and with funding from the National Lottery an Outreach Counsellor goes out to Churches, Community Centres etc to help these women on a one to one basis.
